Carbondale Loop Update
We are one month into the new year and loads of fantastic progress has been made on the new Carbondale loop! The passing side track has been laid and sanded along with a hinge door for crossing into the loop. It is very exciting to see the project grow from just an idea to witnessing the ground-breaking actually happening. Once completed, the loop will allow trains to continuously run into the far ends of the track without the need of stopping and changing a locomotives position on the train to return. The extension should also allow for some fun railroading operations as portions will require trains to wait at passings to get in and out of the area due to the single line entry. The Carbondale loop progress is all thanks to the amazing work by our club members! Can’t wait to see more…
